OK here in North Central Florida, Wes, other than still cleaning up from
Frances. The FL Panhandle is a disaster area though. Thanks for the good
thoughts. You know, the bad thing is that the weather experts are
predicting hurricane seasons like this for the next 30 years. It's rather
like a "correction" in the stock market -- we've apparently been let off too
easy for the last 30 years.

Well, it looks like the next two will pass you by.

Jeanne is turning out into the Atlantic, and Karl will expire before he
gets to the coast. (Hope, hope.)

And on the west coast, Javier is heading across the border into southern
California.

Gemini, watching too much Weather Channel.

The latest, as you might already know from the Weather Channel, is that Ivan
has returned to the Gulf, having sneaked back across the Florida peninsula
as a tropical depression or something small, and now that he is over warm
water again, may be gathering strength to have another go at us. This is
too surreal! I can't even get concerned again, I'm so burned out on
hurricanes. Who offended the storm gods, anyway? (Silly question; had to
be George Bush.)

I hadn't heard Ivan was still alive. However, Jeanne may turn westward...
