Yes, we are! Worse yet, every one of my e-mail addresses has somehow
gotten on the porn lists. I'm bigtime NOT into that.

My *work* address got onto one of those somehow. I was really peeved
and worried, until my boss complained that he'd gotten some port spam.
Then I was just peeved. If he got on, anyone will.
Unfortunately harvesting and dictionary software along with using them are
still legal. The new anti-spam legislation might make things worse...
I just had it out with our computer security guy at work (they tell us to
forward all spam to an address and they will then block the address, but
after four forwards from the *same* address with the *same* subject line, I
got pretty fed up). He basically confirmed that sending anything to that
address was hit/miss, but we should keep on sending things there. He also
told me that due to the "nature of our business" he can't strengthen the
filters to disallow certain words (namely ones that refer to body parts), so
they get in. Plus the company won't buy the software that will allow
screening of graphics sent in, so those of us whose addresses are available
through a simple search continue to get them. My question is how much money
is being wasted storing all these messages which will then be deleted from
our machines, but is kept on Big Brother's server?
sorry...
