Gemini comes into the place with her annual post-Thanksgiving basket of
leftovers. She spreads out the main components of a traditional holiday
dinner: turkey, dressing, gravy, salad, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes.

"My stepfather got a big free-range turkey again. My brother cooked it
and make some fabulous gravy. The dressing is good. The gravy is
fabulous. He said it's some of the best gravy he ever made. But, he
usually cooks for 4-5 dozen people, not one dozen. So, we had lots and
lots. We did finish the pie this year."

Gemini sets out some plates and napkins.

"I mashed the potatoes and made up the salad. My kids made the
desserts. My husband fixed up the sweet potatoes, which are all gone.
He makes this topping with butter and brown sugar that's sinful.

"Having Irv at Mom's kitchen with the bird-related cooking and me in my
kitchen with the vegetable-related cooking works pretty well. More
ovens, less stress."

Gemini fixes herself a cup of tea, and curls up in a comfy chair to relax.

Diana pops her head around the side of her favorite wing-back chair that
faces the fireplace.

"Hi, Gemimi. The leftovers look great, but too much like what I've been
stuffing myself with all weekend to tempt me! Hope some folks will stop
by who can use a good meal."

She uncurls her legs, rises slowly, and stretches. "I believe I'll join
you in a cup of tea, though. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving."
